Raipur ( The Indian View team) :
Chhattisgarh government has declared a holiday today for all schools in the state due to continuous rain over the past two days. Heavy rain has caused water levels in several rivers, including the Indravati, Mahanadi and Shivnath, to rise. Low-lying areas of several cities and towns are also facing waterlogging.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has directed the district collectors to remain alert and carry out relief and rescue work in view of the flood and waterlogging situation. He has asked the authorities to warn people in time if water levels rise or there is a danger of floods. People should be moved to safe places immediately, if needed.
