Police response time has declined from 65 minutes in 2016 to just 5 minutes now: Chief Minister
Lucknow, October 17 ( Raghwendra Pratap Singh) :
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered prayers to Maa Kalaratri on the seventh day of Sharadiya Navratri. Highlighting the significance of the occasion, the Chief Minister wrote on his social media account ‘X’, “The divine form of Maa Kalaratri, who destroys demonic forces such as the wicked, asuras and Raktabeej, establishes dharma and grants fearlessness to devotees, conveys the message that the end of unrighteousness, oppression and terror is the foundation for establishing justice, peace and a fearless society.”Holding the previous government up to scrutiny, the Chief Minister stated,
“Before 2017, the darkness of fear and anarchy arising from the terror of mafia elements resembling Raktabeej, rioters and criminals in the state had created serious obstacles in the path of the safety, education and self-reliance of women and daughters. In contrast, over the past 9.5 years, the double-engine government’s zero-tolerance policy towards crime and criminals has suppressed these demonic forces and established the rule of law and a fear-free environment in the state.”
The Chief Minister wrote that initiatives such as Mission Shakti, the Integrated 1090 Helpline, women beat policing and the Safe City Project have ensured a safe environment for women and daughters, from the threshold of their homes to roads, educational institutions and workplaces. The reduction in police response time from 65 minutes in 2016 to just 5 minutes is clear evidence of the promptness of law and order enforcement in the state and the government’s commitment to women’s safety.Referring to the atmosphere of security in the state, the Chief Minister said, “Encouraged by this very confidence in their safety, women are now working fearlessly even in night shifts.
The increase in women’s labour force participation from 12 percent to more than 36 percent is evidence that the women of the state, by becoming an economic force, are accelerating Uttar Pradesh’s economic development.”The CM wrote that the growing participation of women power in various sectors, including agriculture, industry, services and entrepreneurship, has infused new energy into the state’s development journey.
This participation is also making an important contribution to the journey of a threefold increase in Uttar Pradesh’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) and per capita income.
